Discussing how to make a structure that works for you
Today as a community we discussed why dyslexia impacts our ability to be organised and what we can do to turn it around.
Here are our thoughts:
Find the system for you: Trying to fit into others’ systems never ends well, time to accept your system if different but works for you.
Create a visual system: Seeing what you need and what is going on makes everything easier for our brains
A master to-do list is a must: So many of us use to-do lists, particularly handwritten ones. As an extra hack, lots of us highlight priority tasks.
Then a few little hacks that we all liked:
Colour coding tasks
Having a routine for key tasks (water the plants every Monday)
Tidy environment makes a huge difference
